OVERVIEW:
Talento has partnered with an industry leader in environmental solutions that is seeking a driven, hunter-minded Territory Sales Manager to accelerate growth. This role owns the full sales cycle—from prospecting to close—focusing on new business development while expanding existing accounts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and consistently delivers results through disciplined pipeline management and consultative selling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a territory growth plan to achieve sales and profit targets
- Prospect, qualify and close new business while expanding strategic accounts
- Lead consultative sales engagements with executive-level decision-makers
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting in Salesforce
- Leverage cold outreach and prospecting tools to maximize territory coverage
- Negotiate pricing and long-term agreements to drive profitable growth
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity and customer needs to inform strategy
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales Ops, Marketing, Engineering and Customer Service to ensure seamless execution
- Participate in trade shows and industry associations within the territory
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required in business, environmental or related field
- 3+ years of B2B field sales experience; municipal and/or environmental sales preferred
- Proven success in new business development and full-cycle consultative selling
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
- Adept at prioritization, time management and organization
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and prospecting tools (ZoomInfo, Hubspot, LinkedIn)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Acceptable motor vehicle report due to operation of company vehicle
- Willingness to travel; this position requires 50% overnight travel
