Title: System Administrator, IT Services (Cloud, Network, & Security)

About the Opportunity
TalentoHC is partnering with a leading travel and tourism organization seeking a System Administrator, IT Services to join its global IT team. This is a hands-on infrastructure role with a primary emphasis on cloud administration, network
administration, and security from the system-administration side. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise across Microsoft Azure, AWS, Cisco networking, and endpoint and identity security — paired with strong customer service instincts and a commitment to clear documentation. This role supports employees across a headquarters location and global offices, combining meaningful technical work with close partnership across IT and Security teams.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Administration
• Serve as a primary administrator for Microsoft Azure and AWS environments, including provisioning and lifecycle
management of VMs, storage, and platform services
• Administer cloud identity and access management — Entra ID, Azure RBAC, AWS IAM — applying least-privilege
principles and managing federation and SSO
• Configure and maintain cloud networking constructs including VNets/VPCs, subnets, VPN/ExpressRoute/Direct
Connect, and load balancers
• Monitor cloud cost, utilization, and capacity; support tagging, budgeting, and rightsizing opportunities
• Implement and maintain cloud backup, snapshot, and disaster-recovery configurations; perform periodic recovery
testing
• Support cloud governance using Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and AWS Config/Security Hub
Network Administration
• Administer Cisco network infrastructure — switches, routers, and wireless — including VLANs, trunking, port
configuration, and firmware updates
• Manage firewalls, VPN, and remote-access connectivity; support site-to-site and client VPN tunnels
• Manage core network services (DNS, DHCP, NTP) and Wi-Fi infrastructure including SSID configuration and wireless
performance troubleshooting
• Monitor network health, performance, and availability; investigate and resolve connectivity, latency, and throughput
issues
• Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, IPAM, VLAN and firewall rule inventories
Security Administration
• Apply security practices across cloud, network, server, and endpoint layers — hardening configurations and
maintaining secure baselines
• Administer MFA, Conditional Access, and identity-protection policies in Microsoft Entra ID; support access
certifications and reviews
• Operate and maintain endpoint and server protection (EDR/AV), disk encryption, and patch/vulnerability
remediation
• Monitor security alerts and logs across Microsoft Defender and cloud-native tooling; investigate, document, and
escalate suspected incidents
• Assist with vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking, security audits, and evidence gathering
Infrastructure & End-User Support
• Administer on-premises VMware vSphere environment including VM provisioning, storage management, and host
patching
• Administer Citrix Cloud environment including virtual desktops, delivery groups, machine catalogs, and image
updates
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and Active Directory/Entra ID
• Manage Windows and macOS endpoints via Microsoft Intune — enrollment, compliance policies, software
deployment, and remote remediation
• Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support via ITSM ticketing system; own IT onboarding and offboarding processes
• Maintain IT asset and licensing records; coordinate with vendors and MSPs for procurement and support
• Document procedures, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles; participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for
critical incidents
Leadership & Team Collaboration
• Run the day-to-day IT function — managing workflow, priorities, and task distribution across the team
• Drive collaboration across IT and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and clear communication
• Provide leadership and direction to team members, contractors, and help desk staff
• Prior experience managing direct reports is strongly preferred
Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent
experience
• 3–6 years of professional experience in system administration with a focus on cloud, network, and/or security
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure and AWS — compute, storage, identity, and cloud networking
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking — switching, routing, wireless, VLANs, and VPN
• Experience with security operations: MFA/Conditional Access, EDR/AV, encryption, patch management, and incident
triage
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, VMware vSphere, and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting; familiarity with Azure CLI, AWS CLI, or infrastructure-as-code
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders
• Strong documentation skills — architecture diagrams, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles
Preferred Certifications
• Microsoft AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) and/or AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer)
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect – Associate
• Cisco CCNA
• CompTIA Security+, Network+, and/or CySA+
• SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator) or SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst)
• ITIL 4 Foundation
