TalentoHC is actively partnered with an enterprise client actively seeking a Sr. Director, HR Applications & HCM Delivery to join their organization.

Sr. Director, HR Applications & HCM Technology
Lead HR technology strategy, delivery, and operations across enterprise HCM platforms and related systems. Partner with HR and business leaders to align technology roadmaps with business goals, modernize HR processes, and improve employee experience through automation, analytics, and scalable solutions. Oversee application delivery, production support, integrations, governance, compliance, vendor management, and organizational change initiatives across cloud and on-prem HR systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute HR technology strategy, operating model, and multi-year roadmap.
  • Lead delivery and support teams across HCM platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or PeopleSoft.
  • Manage HR systems lifecycle including prioritization, implementation, testing, releases, integrations, and support.
  • Ensure secure, compliant, and reliable operations aligned with SOX, ITGC, privacy, and enterprise standards.
  • Drive automation, workflow optimization, self-service capabilities, and process standardization across HR functions.
  • Partner with HR, Security, Data, and Infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions and actionable insights.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, budgets, forecasting, and service performance.
  • Lead organizational change management, stakeholder communications, training, and adoption initiatives.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams, succession plans, and operational excellence practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in enterprise applications or HR technology.
  • 5+ years working with enterprise HCM platforms, preferably Workday.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale HR ecosystems, integrations, governance, and production support.
  • Strong background in budgeting, vendor management, compliance, and operational leadership.
  • Deep understanding of HR processes including payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, compensation, and workforce management.

Skills & Leadership

  • Expertise in HR systems architecture, integrations, reporting, and process optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of controls, audit readiness, privacy, and risk management.
  • Ability to lead through influence in complex matrix organizations.
  • Executive-level communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging analytics, KPIs, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve outcomes.
