Position Summary
The Senior Estate Planning Attorney will serve as the primary attorney for client matters from initial consultation through completion. This role requires expertise in sophisticated estate planning strategies, probate, and trust administration, along with the ability to lead and mentor support staff.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced planning strategies.
  • Advise clients on estate, wealth transfer, retirement, insurance, and charitable planning matters.
  • Handle planning for taxable estates, including strategies involving GRATs, ILITs, SLATs, and related vehicles.
  • Supervise probate and trust administration matters.
  • Guide fiduciaries through estate and trust administration processes.
  • Delegate, review, and oversee work completed by paralegals and legal support staff.
  • Conduct client meetings, provide legal counsel, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, motions, and related filings.
  • Represent clients in probate and estate-related court proceedings.
  • Participate in community outreach, networking, and educational presentations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of firm systems, processes, and client service standards.

Qualifications

  • Florida Bar admission required.
  • Minimum 3 years of estate planning experience.
  • Strong experience handling taxable estates and advanced estate planning strategies.
  • Experience with probate and trust administration.
  • Excellent communication, client counseling, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable utilizing legal technology and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, Clio, or Google Workspace is a plus.
  • Portable book of business is welcomed but not required.

Compensation
Base Salary: $140,000 – $160,000, depending on experience and fit
Bonus: Monthly performance-based bonus opportunities
