About the Opportunity
TalentoHC is partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance team in Boca Raton, FL.
This role will serve as a key contributor to the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions, supporting the month-end close process, financial analysis, budgeting, and operational decision-making. The Senior Accountant will partner closely with Operations and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and provide meaningful insights that support business performance.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, analytical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This individual will be comfortable balancing day-to-day accounting responsibilities with process improvement initiatives while building collaborative relationships across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and post monthly journal entries to support an accurate and timely month-end close.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure the integrity of financial records.
  • Analyze operating costs and spending trends, providing meaningful financial analysis and recommendations to management.
  • Partner with Operations and department leaders to communicate financial results and support business initiatives.
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting for assigned business units and cost centers.
  • Maintain fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations within the ERP system.
  • Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits and respond to audit requests.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal control requirements, including SOX where applicable.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and financial controls.
  • Support special projects, ad hoc financial analysis, and other accounting initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Experience with SAP or another Tier I ERP system; SAP Fixed Assets and BPC experience preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
