About the Opportunity
Talento has partnered with a fast-growing, innovative CPG company to identify a Regional Sales Manager – New England to lead expansion across a high-growth, better-for-you product portfolio. This role is responsible for driving strategic growth across grocery accounts, managing both direct relationships and distributor/broker networks. The ideal candidate will combine strong customer leadership, data-driven selling and cross-functional collaboration to deliver profitable growth, expand distribution and elevate in-store execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of grocery accounts (direct and distributor-supported), building strong relationships with buyers, category managers and key stakeholders
  • Deliver against net sales, revenue and profitability targets for assigned accounts
  • Develop and execute customer-specific strategies, including promotional planning, assortment expansion, pricing and shelving initiatives
  • Build annual and quarterly promotion calendars in partnership with cross-functional teams to drive profitable volume growth
  • Leverage syndicated data and insights to inform strategy, identify opportunities, and create compelling, fact-based selling presentations
  • Partner closely with Marketing to develop shopper marketing programs and retail activation strategies that increase velocity and brand visibility
  • Lead new item launches and distribution gains, ensuring strong execution at shelf
  • Manage broker and distributor partners, aligning on priorities, driving accountability, and ensuring execution at both HQ and field levels
  • Oversee trade spend planning and optimization, partnering with Sales Planning to improve ROI and effectiveness
  • Develop accurate forecasts and demand plans in collaboration with Supply Chain and Customer Service teams
  • Ensure operational excellence, including contract management, item setup and promotional execution
  • Travel up to 40% for customer meetings, market visits, broker engagement and industry events
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 7+ years of CPG sales experience, with a strong track record of driving growth in grocery/retail channels
  • Experience managing both direct accounts and broker/distributor networks
  • Proven success working with grocery retailers such as Wegmans, Hannaford, Shaw’s, Price Chopper, Big Y and Tops
  • Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging syndicated data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen) to drive insights and strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to manage trade spend, forecasting and promotional effectiveness
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 40%
