Overview:
Our client, a highly regarded and growing mid-sized law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate or Counsel to join its Real Estate Finance practice. This is a key strategic addition to a sophisticated and selective team that advises institutional lenders on complex commercial real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
 • Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial real estate finance transactions
• Represent institutional and commercial lenders across a range of sophisticated lending matters
• Draft and negotiate loan documentation, including credit agreements and related financing instruments
• Oversee and coordinate comprehensive due diligence, including title, survey, lease, and organizational document review
• Manage transactions from initial term sheet through closing, serving as a key point of contact for clients and counterparties
• Provide strategic counsel on deal structuring, risk allocation, and execution strategy
• Work closely with partners and clients in a highly collaborative, deal-driven environment

Qualifications:
• J.D. from a top-tier accredited law school
• Admission to the New York and/or New Jersey Bar (both strongly preferred)
• Approximately 6–10 years of experience in commercial real estate finance
• Demonstrated experience representing institutional lenders in sophisticated transactions
• Strong background in: Loan documentation and credit agreements, Complex deal structuring and negotiation, Real estate due diligence (title, survey, leases, organizational review)
• Experience at a top-tier or highly regarded law firm (preferred)
• Ability to operate independently and manage transactions with minimal oversight
• Strong commercial judgment, attention to detail, and client-facing communication skills
• Experience with restructurings or workouts is a plus
