Production Manager
Onsite – Joliet, IL
OVERVIEW
Talento has partnered with a global supply chain solutions manufacturer to find a Production Manager responsible for leading daily operations to ensure safety, quality and throughput targets are consistently met. This role drives real-time decision-making, resource alignment and performance accountability through the operations management system. With a strong focus on human-centered leadership, the Production Manager fosters a positive, inclusive environment that encourages communication, personal growth and team development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily operations across shifts; align labor, equipment, and processes to meet volume demands
- Monitor production metrics and adjust operations in real time to ensure service and performance targets
- Use operations management and visual tier systems to track KPIs, solve problems and drive accountability
- Build relationships and coach frontline leaders, promoting feedback, recognition and career growth
- Promote a culture of ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement across teams
- Lead onboarding and cross-training to develop a flexible, high-performing workforce
- Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize equipment uptime and maintain audit-ready standards
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and drive continuous improvement through active team involvement
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years in warehouse, production or logistics leadership roles
- High school diploma required; college degree or comparable professional experience preferred
- Strong performance management and labor planning skills
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and promoting a culture of safety and compliance
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma and operations management systems preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and visual tier systems
- Data-driven decision-maker
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 base salary + discretionary bonus
