6-12 month contract

Procurement Analyst with 2–3 years of experience to support R&D, IT, and security-related procurement. In this cross-functional role, you’ll work with engineering, product development, IT, and information security teams to source tools, services, and technology that enable innovation while supporting secure infrastructure growth. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong coordination skills, analytical thinking, and a solid foundation in technical procurement.


Key Responsibilities:

R&D & Technical Procurement

  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to source tools and services for prototyping, testing, product development, and data science.

  • Manage procurement of development tools, lab equipment, simulation software, and licenses (e.g., MATLAB, SolidWorks, Atlassian tools).

  • Support early-stage vendor engagement, ensuring fast and compliant sourcing to support innovation timelines.

IT & Software Sourcing

  • Assist in procurement of enterprise software, team tools, hardware, and IT support services.

  • Track software renewals and licensing terms to ensure business continuity and budget alignment.

  • Help manage software inventory and usage with input from IT operations.

     Security-Related Procurement

  • Support sourcing of basic security tools and services, such as endpoint protection, password managers, vulnerability scanners, and compliance platforms.

  • Coordinate with the InfoSec or cybersecurity team on vendor assessments and risk documentation.

  • Ensure vendors meet baseline security and data protection standards during onboarding.

Analytics, Contracts & Process Improvement

  • Conduct spend analysis, supplier performance tracking, and market benchmarking.

  • Assist with RFx activities and contract creation, including NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs.

  • Maintain procurement documentation and support audits or compliance reporting.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, IT Management, or related field.

  • 2–3 years of procurement or sourcing experience, ideally supporting R&D or IT functions.

  • Exposure to software licensing, hardware procurement, and service agreements.

  • Familiarity with technical tools and platforms used in engineering or product development.

  • Proficient in Excel and tools like SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or similar procurement systems.

  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with procurement for engineering, software development, or research teams.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools or policies (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST) is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of vendor risk management or compliance workflows.

  • Comfortable working across multiple functions (legal, IT, engineering, finance).
