Policy Forms Specialist

Overview
Talento has partnered with a global specialty provider of P&C insurance and reinsurance to place a Policy Forms Specialist in support of a significant systems integration initiative. This role can be based in any of the following offices: Charlotte, NC; Morristown, NJ; Garden City, NY; Manhattan, NY; or Chicago, IL, and will sit within the client’s North American Operations division. The Policy Forms Specialist will work alongside Forms and Operations teams to help maintain regulatory and corporate compliance by coordinating updates to the company’s policy administration system, Guidewire PolicyCenter. The goal is to ensure the system accurately reflects current business requirements across multiple lines of business, including Property, Casualty, Financial Lines, Inland Marine, and Ocean Marine.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain IT business output templates for policy forms and endorsements, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal style standards
- Work cross-functionally with Product Development, Legal, Underwriting, Operations, Compliance, and other stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
- Collaborate with IT Business Systems Analysts, Development, and QA teams to support the successful implementation of system changes
- Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that system updates meet defined business requirements, including:
- Entering and managing test cases in the system
- Reviewing and comparing policy output across platforms
- Create and manage FreshService tickets to track testing defects and change requests through resolution
- Generate status reports and maintain ongoing metrics for team visibility
- Own and update departmental documentation related to system change requests on an ongoing basis
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to prioritize and drive issues to resolution with a high level of attention to detail
- Comfortable managing several concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Solid understanding of how upstream and downstream processes interact within an insurance organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; SharePoint and advanced Excel skills strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational capabilities with a structured approach to problem-solving
- 3–5 years of insurance industry experience, preferably in an Underwriting or Operations capacity, with working knowledge of SDLC
- Some college education or equivalent professional experience in the field
- Foundational knowledge of the Property & Casualty regulatory environment
- Prior hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter is a strong plus
