Plant Operations Manager

OVERVIEW
Talento has partnered with a global supply chain solutions manufacturer to find a Plant Operations Manager responsible for overseeing daily plant operations while fostering a culture rooted in human-centered leadership. The manager drives continuous improvement, maintains operational excellence and upholds the organization’s mission and values. This role prioritizes empathy, inclusion and employee development, ensuring a safe, efficient and high-performing workplace. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead with empathy and authenticity, fostering an inclusive environment where all employees feel valued and engaged
  • Support employee development and retention
  • Celebrate team and individual accomplishments to support a positive and motivating work culture
  • Ensure full compliance with all EHS&S policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, including LOTO reviews, BBSOs and 5S evaluations
  • Monitor EHS&S metrics using tools such as Velocity EHS and lead initiatives to proactively reduce risk
  • Champion Lean and Kaizen methodologies to drive daily process improvements
  • Use tools such as PDCA and A3 thinking to structure improvement projects
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to support data-driven decisions
  • Lead and support capital and CI projects using the site’s CI tracker
  • Ensure productivity and quality targets are consistently met
  • Manage site operations within budget, optimizing use of labor and materials
  • Uphold standards across safety, quality and efficiency through hands-on leadership

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of plant or operations management experience
  • 2+ years in supervisory role in a manufacturing setting or 3PL provider
  • High school diploma required; college degree or comparable professional experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Proven experience in leading continuous improvement and change management
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships through e?ective communication and follow-through
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and promoting a culture of safety and compliance
  • Strong cross functional collaborator
  • Software/systems: skilled with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with JDE system a plus

Compensation: $95,000 – $110,000 base salary + discretionary bonus
