Licensing Manager

Overview
Our client, a global leader in the lifestyle and consumer products industry, is seeking a Licensing Manager to help drive growth across product categories. The ideal candidate will be brand-savvy, strategically driven, and experienced in identifying, negotiating, and managing impactful licensing partnerships in apparel, accessories, footwear, and beauty. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and execution—perfect for someone who thrives on building value-driven collaborations in a fast-paced, design-forward environment.
Responsibilities
- Support senior leadership in developing and executing licensing strategies across key product verticals.
- Directly manage licensees and partnerships in apparel, accessories, footwear, and health & beauty categories.
- Identify and evaluate new licensing opportunities aligned with brand positioning and growth goals.
- Negotiate deal terms, contracts, and royalty structures in collaboration with legal and finance teams.
- Monitor licensee performance, including sales tracking, quarterly reporting, and payment follow-ups.
- Maintain contract compliance, including expirations, renewals, and amendments.
- Prepare and deliver pitch materials, presentations, and internal business updates.
- Research market trends, competitors, and white space opportunities to guide business development.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align product development, marketing, and design execution.
- Plan and support key trade shows and partner meetings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure creative alignment and product approvals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of licensing experience (4+ years strongly preferred) within consumer products.
- Proven track record in managing and growing licensing partnerships.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM or licensing platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong presentation skills and comfort in client-facing settings.
- Must be based in Southern California and able to commute to the office two days per week.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Salary Range: $100,000–$110,000/year + bonus
