TalentoHC is partnering with a leading organization seeking a Learning & Development Program Manager.
This role will be responsible for leading and improving shipboard learning and training programs across a fleet environment. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining onboarding, operational, and service training programs that improve crew performance and enhance the guest experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Designing role-specific onboarding and operational training programs for departments such as hospitality, food & beverage, culinary, housekeeping, and guest services.
- Creating practical learning journeys that can be delivered onboard by training managers and departmental trainers.
- Partnering with operational leaders, quality assurance teams, and talent development teams to identify performance gaps and develop targeted training solutions.
- Managing multiple training initiatives from development through deployment and tracking program effectiveness.
- Supporting fleet-wide rollout of training programs through communication plans, facilitator materials, and reinforcement tools.
- Conducting regular ship visits to evaluate training quality, coach facilitators, and ensure consistency across locations.
- Developing training managers through coaching, peer learning, feedback cycles, and Train-the-Trainer programs.
- Collaborating with ship leadership and department heads to align training priorities with operational goals and performance needs.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in learning & development, hospitality, business, education, HR, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in learning & development, operational training, capability building, or talent development within complex operational or service-focused environments.
- Experience designing and implementing role-based training programs across multiple locations or operational environments.
- Strong project management, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyze operational and learning data to improve program effectiveness.
- Experience coaching trainers, facilitators, or operational leaders.
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments and willingness to travel internationally up to 35%.
