Business Development Manager – Americas

Location: Florida Preferred | Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Snapshot

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager – Americas to lead commercial growth and market expansion across the United States, with the opportunity to support broader growth throughout the Americas.

This is a highly entrepreneurial role for an aviation sales professional who brings established relationships within the business and private aviation community and understands the complexities of international flight operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, building long-term client relationships, and establishing a stronger commercial presence in the U.S. market.

The ideal candidate has direct experience selling international trip support services and an existing network across Part 91 and Part 135 operators, aircraft management companies, corporate flight departments, and other aviation organizations.

About the Opportunity

Our client is an established international aviation services organization with more than two decades of experience supporting aircraft operators around the world. The company provides comprehensive international trip support, including flight planning, overflight and landing permits, ground handling coordination, fuel arrangements, and 24/7 operational support.

With a strong and established presence internationally, the organization is now making a strategic investment in the U.S. market. This position will play a critical role in developing that presence by identifying prospective customers, building relationships with key decision-makers, and converting those relationships into long-term commercial partnerships.

This is not a role for someone simply managing an existing book of business. The Business Development Manager will have the opportunity to build a market, leveraging the company's global operational capabilities and 24/7 dispatch infrastructure while serving as a key source of U.S. market intelligence for the broader organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on expanding the company's presence and revenue across the U.S. market.
  • Identify, prospect, and develop relationships with Part 91 and Part 135 operators, aircraft management companies, corporate flight departments, private aviation organizations, and other target customers.
  • Leverage an existing aviation network while continuously developing new relationships and sales opportunities.
  • Promote and sell international trip support solutions, including flight planning, permits, ground handling coordination, fuel services, and operational support.
  • Build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and manage prospects throughout the complete sales cycle.
  • Develop relationships with key decision-makers and understand each customer's operational requirements, challenges, and growth opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, commercial offers, and tailored solutions to prospective customers.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and support the development of contracts and customer agreements.
  • Develop existing accounts through relationship management, cross-selling, and identification of additional service opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Business Development, Commercial Operations, Vendor Relations, Customer Relations, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure successful customer acquisition and service delivery.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable commercial resource for customers, particularly when navigating complex international flight requirements.
  • Represent the organization at aviation industry events, conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings throughout the U.S.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and emerging opportunities to help shape the company's U.S. commercial strategy.
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence and recommendations regarding customer needs, competitive positioning, partnerships, and future expansion opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, account, and business development activity reporting.

Qualifications

  • Direct experience in sales, business development, or account management within an international trip support organization is required.
  • Strong understanding of international trip support services and the operational requirements associated with international aircraft movements.
  • Established relationships within the U.S. business aviation market, particularly among Part 91 and Part 135 operators, aircraft management companies, and corporate flight departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect for new business, develop relationships from the ground up, and convert opportunities into revenue.
  • Experience growing and expanding existing customer relationships through cross-selling and upselling.
  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape within international trip support and aviation services.
  • Ability to confidently discuss operationally complex flight requirements with customers and internal operations teams.
  • Proven experience developing proposals, presenting solutions, and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Highly self-directed and comfortable operating remotely within an international organization.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to succeed in a market-building environment without an established U.S. sales infrastructure.
  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for customer meetings, industry events, and conferences.
  • Spanish, French, or Arabic language capabilities are advantageous but not required.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this position will be measured by the ability to establish and grow a meaningful U.S. commercial presence. Early priorities will include developing a qualified pipeline, opening relationships with targeted operators and aviation organizations, establishing market visibility, and converting new opportunities into revenue-producing customer relationships.

As the market develops, the Business Development Manager will also be expected to expand key accounts, increase customer utilization of the company's services, and provide strategic insight that helps guide continued investment and expansion throughout the Americas.

Growth Opportunity

This position is being created as part of a strategic U.S. expansion and offers significant opportunity for future growth. As the business develops, the role may evolve into broader commercial leadership responsibility for the U.S. or Americas, potentially including responsibility for a dedicated sales and/or key account management organization.
