Space Designer

Under the supervision of the Creative Director, design and develop efficient and compelling retail and restaurant facilities, graphics, and consumer products utilizing the company’s IPs. Serve as a design liaison, effectively interfacing and coordinating design efforts with internal and external partners.

This is a hands-on role, managing projects through all stages—from conceptualization to final completion. The position serves as a Senior Graphic Designer for Brand Image and Consumer Product Design, primarily focusing on brand-related graphical executions, including packaging, merchandising, advertising, and products. Develop design ideas from initial concepts to fully realized solutions under the Creative Director’s guidance.

Additionally, design and develop print and environmental graphic materials for licensing shows, pop-up shops, and retail spaces. Must be able to work under tight deadlines while demonstrating a high degree of flexibility. Responsible for approving all brand image-related submissions from licensees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate in development of recreational, leisure facility design/visual lay-outs.
  • Facilitate in development of blue sky, conceptual design and some schematic and design development.
  • Facilitate in development of entertainment concept visuals and prop designs.
  • Act as design liaison to licensees and partners.
  • Keep abreast and monitor building and facility architectural design trends to maximize design opportunities.
  • Conceptualize and develop consumer product concepts and designs using Company’s IPs.
  • Act as design/creative liaisons and coordinate design efforts with internal external partners on an as needed basis. 
  • Ensure that design initiatives meet schedule requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Reviewing Brand Image Submissions from submitted by licensees to possibly art direct layout & design in order to maintain the equity and consistency to Brand Image Style Guides.
  • Design and create print & environmental (marketing materials, posters, signages, invitations, etc) for launch of new stores, cafes and environments with the IP.
  • Design and create brand image and signage for licensees upon requests.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Environmental / Industrial / Interior Design / Graphic Design or related area.
  • At least 3 years related experience. 
  • Demonstrated advanced drawing/illustration skills recent releases of 2D and 3D computer aided design (CAD) programs such as AutoCad, Rhino, EDS MAX; able to translate design objectives into 3D visual format.
  • Must have a strong sense of color, illustration skills, type settings and layout.
  • Computer Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Power Point, MS Excel, MS word.
  • Excellent drawing ability; must be physically able to use computer and artist tools.
  • Effective project management ability to plan, prioritize design projects from conception through completion & produce a high volume of design work and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Analytical ability to research, analyze and apply design trends with respect to facility layout and fixtures.
  • Must have strong written/verbal communications skills and presentation skills
  • A team player able to take direction and work professionally & collaboratively with others.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Some project management experience preferred. 
  • Must maintain company proprietary & confidential design concepts & information.
  • Independent overnight business travel (domestic) if needed.
  • Able to work under tight deadline and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility
  • Must have knowledge of various materials for interior design suggestions.

Compensation: 80-90K salary + bonus
