MEET THE ROLE: YOUR PURPOSE:

Senior 360° leadership role responsible for driving the growth, performance, people leadership, and profitability of a customer-aligned Talent Practice.

The role combines business development, strategic customer partnership, recruiting expertise, and team leadership to deliver high-value talent solutions and sustainable business results.
Accountable for the full business cycle, from identifying and developing new opportunities to expanding existing customer relationships, leading recruiting teams, and ensuring successful delivery of complex talent engagements. The Practice Manager also owns the financial performance of the practice, leveraging market insight, commercial acumen, operational discipline, and people leadership to maximize revenue, gross profit, productivity, and profitability.

  • Drive Business Development: Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities by building strategic prospect relationships, understanding market needs, and positioning Talento’s capabilities to win new customer partnerships and generate sustainable and profitable growth.

  • Expand Customer Partnerships: Strengthen and grow existing customer relationships by uncovering unmet talent needs, expanding the scope of searches and services, and developing account strategies that increase retention, share of wallet, and long-term customer value.

  • Lead the Team: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing recruiting team, including junior talent, by setting clear expectations, driving accountability, allocating resources, and building capabilities that improve team productivity and delivery.

  • Own Practice Performance & P&L: Drive the overall performance and profitability of the practice with direct accountability for revenue, gross profit, productivity, and profitability, while balancing business growth, customer outcomes, team performance, and operational efficiency.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • 10+ years of experience in recruiting, executive search, staffing, or talent solutions, with a proven track record owning the full 360° business and recruiting lifecycle—from business development and client partnership to complex searches and successful placements.

  • 5+ years of experience leading, developing, and coaching recruiting professionals. 

  • Demonstrated experience managing team performance, setting priorities, allocating workloads, and developing recruiting capabilities 

  • Experience managing or contributing to practice, business unit, or P&L performance, including revenue, gross profit, forecasting, productivity, and profitability.

  • 2+ years of experience owning complex customer relationships, with a proven track record of growing and expanding accounts through a land-and-expand approach.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex high-value searches while maintaining direct accountability for client outcomes.

 

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Talent Market Expertise: Strong understanding of talent markets, industry dynamics, functional profiles, compensation trends, and talent availability across diverse industries and customer environments.

  • Complex Search Expertise: Proven ability to design and execute sophisticated searches for specialized, senior, and difficult-to-fill positions using targeted research, market mapping, and advanced sourcing strategies.

  • End-to-End Recruiting Expertise: Strong command of the full recruiting lifecycle, including client intake and calibration, search strategy, sourcing, candidate assessment, engagement, negotiation, closing, and successful placement.

  • People & Performance Management: Strong knowledge of recruiting team management, coaching, performance development, workload allocation, productivity management, and capability development.

  • Market Intelligence: Ability to leverage talent market data, industry trends, competitor insights, and candidate motivations to provide actionable recommendations and shape effective search strategies.

  • Business Development & Solution Development: Strong understanding of consultative business development, including prospecting, client discovery, solution design, proposals, statements of work, pricing, and negotiation within a talent solutions environment.

  • Commercial & Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L management, revenue, gross profit, gross margin, forecasting, pipeline management, productivity, resource planning, and the financial drivers of profitable recruiting engagements.

  • Recruiting Technology & Analytics: Proficiency with ATS/CRM platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, sourcing technologies, and recruiting analytics to support both search execution and business performance.
