About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Workday Integrations & Development Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade Workday integrations and custom solutions.

This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, ensuring the Workday platform operates efficiently, securely, and at scale. You will play a critical role in driving integration strategy, improving system performance, and enabling seamless data flow across business systems.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Workday Developers and Integration Specialists
  • Provide guidance on architecture, coding standards, and best practices
  • Conduct performance reviews, one-to-ones, and career development planning
  • Manage team workload, prioritisation, and delivery timelines
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

Workday Integrations & Development

  • Design, build, test, and deploy Workday integrations using:
    • Workday Studio
    • EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder)
    • Core Connectors
    • Document Transformations (XSLT)
  • Develop integrations between Workday and third-party systems (payroll, finance, vendors, internal platforms)
  • Build and deploy Workday Extend applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integrations, configurations, and data flow
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with governance standards

Technical Strategy & Collaboration

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation
  • Support Workday implementations, including integrations for acquired businesses
  • Participate in system testing, data validation, and migration activities
  • Maintain detailed documentation for integrations, configurations, and processes
  • Stay current with Workday releases, features, and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in Workday Integrations / Development
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Workday Studio
    • EIB & Core Connectors
    • SOAP / REST Web Services
    • XML, XSLT, JSON transformations
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Workday architecture and data model
    • Security framework (roles, groups, access controls)
    • Business process frameworks within Workday
  • Experience integrating Workday with external systems and platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions
