Manufacturing Process Manager

OVERVIEW
Talento has partnered with a supply chain solutions manufacturer to find a Manufacturing Process Manager to oversee all processing functions to ensure optimal machine performance, cycle efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality and safety standards. This leader will drive process improvement initiatives, work with a team of process engineers and technicians and ensure that production meets profitability and customer expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish, document and maintain standardized processing and setup procedures for machines and robots; manage and approve deviations.
- Optimize cycle efficiency, regrind usage and asset reliability through disciplined process control.
- Collaborate to develop and refine process “recipes” to balance co-injection performance, regrind utilization and material efficiency without compromising quality.
- Lead process startups and implement process changes for new or modified equipment.
- Conduct and document root cause analyses of process upsets; develop and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and problem-solving to minimize downtime and maintain process consistency across all shifts.
- Verify that daily machine processes produce parts that meet established quality and performance standards.
- Lead molding trials for new materials, validating and documenting optimized parameters.
- Train, mentor and develop process engineers and technicians to strengthen team capability and performance.
- Ensure Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) are documented for all non-standard product changeovers.
- Collaborate with the National Process Manager to align local operations with corporate best practices.
- Conduct process studies to evaluate factors impacting part quality and cycle time; implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and drive improvements in molds, machines and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) to enhance performance while maintaining a strong safety focus.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in injection molding process management, including machine setup and optimization (1000T–4000T IMM).
- 5+ years of robot startup experience; exposure to cobots and automated workcells preferred.
- Proficiency in processing HDPE and PP resins; experience with Krauss Maffei IMMs preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Sepro or Yaskawa 6-axis robots preferred.
- Familiarity with RJG training and A3 problem-solving methodologies a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tooling, automation and plastics manufacturing systems.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills with a collaborative leadership style.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
