As part of their finance transformation initiatives, the organization has implemented Workday Financial Management (FM) and is now looking for a talented Workday Finance Systems Analyst to join their team. This role is critical in optimizing and enhancing the functionality of the Workday Financial Management platform to support the institution’s finance operations.

About the Role
As a Workday Finance Systems Analyst, you will provide technical and functional expertise for Workday Financial Management (FM) modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Financial Reporting. You will collaborate closely with the finance, IT, and other business units to ensure the Workday FM system meets business needs and drives process improvements. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance systems specialist who is excited to play a key role in enhancing financial operations through technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all Workday Financial Management system inquiries, issues, and enhancements.
• Configure, test, and deploy system updates and new functionality within Workday FM modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Financial Reporting.
• Partner with the finance department to understand their needs and translate them into Workday solutions that optimize processes and reporting.
• Monitor and ensure data integrity across finance systems, performing regular audits and validation checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues and errors in collaboration with IT and Workday support teams.
• Develop and maintain custom financial reports and dashboards within Workday to provide insights for key stakeholders.
• Assist in the implementation of system upgrades, including testing and documentation of new features.
• Create and deliver user training materials to improve end-user adoption and proficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Workday FM is integrated with other systems, such as HR and Payroll.
• Stay informed of Workday Financial Management updates and trends, recommending new features that align with organizational goals.
• Support ad hoc projects related to finance system enhancements and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience working with Workday Financial Management (FM), with hands-on configuration and support expertise.
• Strong understanding of finance operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and procurement processes.
• Experience in building financial reports and dashboards using Workday tools.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into system functionality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Workday certification in Financial Management modules preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and collaborate effectively with finance and IT stakeholders.
• Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
